Large Format (5x4) Photography using a sliding back and DSLR (and black and white sheet film)

Important notice-all courses are now “one to one teaching”

A single day devoted to learning how to use a 5x4 camera on location locally. You will be taught how to successfully operate a 5x4 camera, including the use of movements (tilt, shift, rise etc) Although we now teach by using a high resolution camera attached to the 5x4 camera you will also learn how to load/unload film holders enabling you to shoot a few sheets of film (this will be processed for you later and posted)

We will work on the digital files taken and produce high quality prints at our studio.

1 Day Film Photography workshop 10a.m-4p.m (Saturdays only)

Choose the format you would like to work with, 35mm or Medium format, it’s a non stop day of learning how to operate analogue equipment, shooting, processing and printing!

• Chemicals to process film

• The use of a traditional darkroom

• Print chemistry and photographic paper to make a contact print and small prints.
